Equipping Classes

Sunday nights are a focused time of specific Equipping. Several classes are offered during each semester that hopefully will address special needs in your daily walk with Christ.

    • The Crucible – This class is a focused time of equipping and discipling the worshipers of Woodland Park. David Shaffer, Kathy Blair, and Carey Dean will teach practical skills of music reading and vocal training. No past music experience required. Meets in room room 190.
    • James (Beth Moore Study) – This study of James explores such concepts as joy, hardship, faith, wisdom, single-mindedness, the tongue, humility, prayer, and inspires us to put faith into action. Cost: $16.50. Led by Debbie Bates. Meets in room 167.
    • Message of Grace Bible Study - Join us for expository teaching from God’s Word. Led by Bruce Daugherty and meets in room 155.
    • Mission Life – This class is a must for those wanting to increase their understanding of world missions. It includes praying for missionaries (foreign and local) and missionary testimonies. Meets in room 169.
    • The Sermon on the Mount (Precept Study) – In this study you will gain a fresh understanding of what it looks like to align your life with God’s priorities. Cost: $24.75. Led by David & BJ Lawson. Meets in room 159.
  • Worship Service - This service will feature the same message as Sunday morning but in a relaxed format. It is designed to allow more room for growth in the morning services and to encourage serving in the body. This service will meet in room 140.

Children’s Ministry Offerings

    • AWANA - This equipping venue for children seeks to strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ by teaching them God’s Word throughout their formative years, the long-lasting benefit being young adults who are marked by steadfast Biblical faith and character.
  • Puggles – for age 2 (age 2 by 3/31/11) will be dropped off and picked up in their classroom
  • Cubbies – for age 3&4 will be dropped off and picked up in their classroom
  • Sparks – for K-2nd grade will be dropped off in the Worship Center and picked up in their classroom
  • T&T – for grades 3-6 will be dropped off and picked up in the Worship Center

Student Ministry Offerings

  • LIFEfocus Study - for grades 9-12 will study through the book Costly Grace. Meets in room 187.
  • One Mind - for grades 7-8 is a class designed to help students grow in their relationship with Christ and each other through Bible study and a hands-on approach to Christianity. Meets in room 165.
