Encounter God’s awesome power as we fly to some of the world’s greatest natural wonders. Along the way kids will hear Bible stories about God’s awesome power and learn how God wants to give us everything we need through His power and glory!

In this one-week adventure kids encounter God’s awesome power through Bible stories, crafts, motivating music, and games.

The ONEworship kidz Summer Arts Program will begin Sunday, June 3, and conclude with a worship celebration on Sunday, August 26. Group music time will be the foundation but children will learn more about the arts inworship by participating in the following breakout sessions:

Dance (open to girls of all ages)

• Learn what it means to express worship through dance. Movements will be tasteful and interpretative. Dance experience is not necessary, only a love of “creatively moving” to music. Limited to girls for ease of choreography.

 Drama (open to all ages)

• Learn how to use facial expressions, hand gestures, and vocal inflection to be better communicators on and OFF the stage. Our primary script will be God’s LIVING Word. Stage experience not necessary. Looking for kidz who are expressive with a “no fear” attitude and who don’t mind being “in front of a crowd”.

Media (open to grades 4-6)

• Today’s corporate worship is strongly supported by media. Learn creative projection techniques. Support spoken and sung word through careful image selection. Basic computing skills (using a mouse, keyboard, navigating the web, etc.) and comfort with a computer are necessary.

Vocal Technique (open to all ages)

• Learn how to express worship through singing and proper vocal technique. Must be passionate about singing and have a desire to do it better. No previous training is needed. Soloists for the final program will be chosen from this group.

Visual Arts (open to all ages)

• Often the most neglected in corporate worship is the opportunity to express worship through the visual arts. Painting, drawing, sculpting, and other visual arts will be part of this breakout session. Creations from this breakout will be displayed in a special gallery on the evening of our worship celebration. This group is for anyone who loves art. WARNING: This group could get messy!

 Stage Design & Construction (open to grades 4-6)

• Learn to support corporate worship expressions through special “sets” that visually reinforce the message. Get a “behind the scenes” look at how sets are created, what goes into stage design, and how to make it happen. Students will actually create the stage design concept for our closing worship celebration, prepare the plans, and assist in the construction. Use of tools will require special permission from the parents and will be necessary to fully engage in this breakout. Anyone with an interest in decorating and building will find this group especially enjoyable.

• Registration is open now and the deadline to register is May 27
• Children can participate in TWO breakout sessions
• Placement in breakout session will be first come/first served
• Children who do not pre-register cannot specify a breakout preference
