Spiros Zodhiates was born of Greek parents on
the island of Cyprus. He came to the United States
in 1946 at the invitation of AMG
International, an organization founded in
1942 in New York City as a ministry only to the
Greeks and Greece. He became President of AMG
in 1966 and AMG was relocated to Chattanooga in
1978. Dr. Zodhiates is a recognized authority
on the Greek New Testament. He writes a weekly
gospel message which appears as a paid advertisement
in Greek newspapers and magazines around the world
and is editor-in-chief of the leading Greek evangelical
magazine, The Voice of the Gospel, published in
Athens. He is the author of hundreds of books
and booklets in English, as well as more than
eighty books and booklets in Greek. He and his
wife, Joan, have 4 children and 12 grandchildren.
