Kelly O'Rear is a native of Chattanooga and came
to Christ while attending UTC. He graduated with
a degree in education and taught public school
locally for one year. He then went to New Tribes
Mission to teach in a school for missionary children
located in the jungles of Venezuela. After further
training with NTM, he taught at the New Tribes
Bible Institute in Jackson, Michigan for 6 years.
In December of 2001, he returned home to Chattanooga
with a burden to see effective college ministry
take place at a local church level. He now serves
as the director of Thirsty
- the College Ministry of Woodland Park Baptist
Church. Kelly's driving passion is to see students
equipped to understand and live out biblical worship.
That passion is summed up in the College Ministry vision
statement: We exist to enthrall college students
with the Supremacy of God that they might impact
their world to the glory of God. Kelly resides
in Chattanooga.
