Children's
Ministry - AWANA

AWANA
is the Sunday evening program for children from
2 years of age through 6th grade. This program
focuses on Scripture memorization, applying Scripture
to daily life, and being challenged from God’s
Word by special speakers. In addition, it incorporates
games that focus on team unity and sportsmanship
and encourages the children to serve others.
Children are divided into classes by age: Puggles for children born
between 10/01/04 through 03/31/05, Cubbies
for 3 and 4 year-olds, Sparks for kindergarten
through 2nd grade, and Truth & Training (T&T)
for 3rd through 6th grade. It meets only during
the months when Hamilton County schools are in
session on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:45 pm. Puggles and Cubbies meet in their Sunday School classrooms while
Sparks and T&T meet in
Room 157. This program
requires registration, materials fees, and a
Consent
Form be filled out for events where the children
leave the campus.

We encourage you as a parent to help and encourage
your child through this program. Your child will
benefit most if he/she works a little bit each
day toward completing the goals. We offer incentives
to children throughout the program, but awards
are not the goal of AWANA. The goal is that children
will come to know Jesus personally and learn
to serve Him faithfully. If you work with your
child, with that goal in mind, you will be surprised
how much he/she can accomplish in the AWANA program.
