AWANA
AWANA is the Sunday evening program for children from 2 years of age through 6th grade. This program focuses on Scripture memorization, applying Scripture to daily life, and being challenged from God’s Word by special speakers. In addition, it incorporates games that focus on team unity and sportsmanship and encourages the children to serve others. Children are divided into classes by age: Puggles for children who are mid and older 2 year olds (must be 2 years old by 3/31/12), Cubbies for 3 and 4 year-olds, Sparks for kindergarten through 2nd grade, and Truth & Training (T&T) for 3rd through 6th grade. It meets only during the months when Hamilton County schools are in session on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:45 pm. Puggles and Cubbies meet in their Sunday School classrooms while Sparks and T&T meet in Room 127. This program requires registration, materials fees, and a AWANA Registration and Consent Form be filled out for events where the children leave the campus.
General Information
AWANA is an international children’s program. The name “AWANA” comes from 2 Timothy 2:15. Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. Our club is one of over 11,000 clubs worldwide. We encourage you as a parent to help and encourage your child through this program. Your child will benefit most if he/she works a little bit each day toward completing the goals. We offer incentives to children throughout the program, but awards are not the goal of AWANA. The goal is that children will come to know Jesus personally and learn to serve Him faithfully. If you work with your child, with that goal in mind, you will be surprised how much he/she can accomplish in the AWANA program.
To register your child for Awana’s this year please submit this online form. If you register before July 1 you will receive a 20% discount on enrollment fee’s!
