InsideOut
Ministry
Woodland Park's Inside Out Ministry exists to
connect individual members of the body of Christ
to the unreached in our local community through
various ministry opportunities. Inside Out accomplishes
this by...
- - helping members of the body discover
their calling/ministry giftedness
- - providing short-term mentored ministry
experience within our local community
- - placing experienced members into long-term
ministries positions, as desired
- - seeking to come alongside established
ministries in our community
- - starting community outreach ministries
where none currently exist
The very life and ministry of Christ exemplified
reaching out to surrounding people groups. Jesus
met people where they were, meeting physical
needs and offering eternal life and hope through
a relationship with Him. We are His representatives
through the power of the Holy Spirit on earth
now. We should model His life to the world. The
great commission indicates an outward movement
to the remote parts of the earth beginning with
the local community. A large part of the ministry
of the early church was accomplished in the community,
the homes, the streets, and the marketplaces.
The church was designed to be salt and light
in the world and not to be covered up but set
on a hill so the surrounding world could see
its illumination. Salt does no good in the shaker.
It must be dispersed to have an effect. Jesus
called His disciples IN TO follow Him but He
led them OUT TO the world. We are called in to
corporate worship to then go out to minister
to the world. As Christ was the friend of sinners,
publicans, tax collectors, and harlots, so we,
His body, are to be.

The
Good News Carnival at the Riverpark

What
a great chance for families to be together outdoors
having fun and ministering at the same time.
Carnivals include 4-5 stations that feature a
craft, game, bible story, music, and face painting.
Kids move from station to station every 15 minutes
and collect tickets and prizes. Children collecting
enough tickets win a free snow cone. Carnivals
will be conducted using Child Evangelism Back
Yard Bible Club material over a five week period
on Sunday nights beginning June 29. We will be
hosting at least 4 locations this year; Riverpark,
Coolidge Park, Heritage Park, and Imagination
Station. This event is very low key and non confrontational
yet is still very evangelistic. The time commitment
is approximately 2 hours each Sunday night for
5 Sunday nights. Bonus: Great fellowship with
other families. If you or your family or a group
of friends would like to participate, complete
the
registration form.
