There were several teams with a score of 62. Steve Bulla was our long drive winner. Wayne Brown was our senior long drive winner. Thanks to Tony Autry for his work in heading this up, Nick Bosco and Sid Henry for their able assistance. Care for the Widow, Single Mom through BridgeBuilders

In the summer of 2009 BridgeBuilders piloted teams from it’s leadership to minister to the widows and single moms at Woodland Park.

In January of 2010 we co-hosted a meetings with other like-minded men from around the Chattanooga area at the Men’s Ministry Network bi-monthly meeting at Woodland Park along with help from the MacClellan Foundation.

Herb Reese from New Commandment Ministries shared his vision for this ministry with the group and now men from 13 different churches are seeking to establish this relational team based approach to ministry.

If you attend Woodland Park and would like to participate in this ministry, email or call Donna Wilson at the Men’s Ministry office at 423.899.9186, ext. 102. Let us know how you would like to be involved and we will connect you to this group.

How this works for men:

The men participating in these groups meet nine months of the year on the third Saturday at Country Place Restaurant on Shallowford Road for a message/fellowship and then go out to work for two hours at the care recipient’s home. Men are in teams of five or six to assist the care recipient. They will minister each month by doing things need to the home and around the house.

How this works for widows and single moms:

If you are a widow or single mom attending Woodland Park, please email us or call Donna Wilson at the Men’s Ministry office at423.899.9186, ext. 102. We also have men that can handle short-term projects but most teams are there to build relationships and help as needed.
