Student
Ministry

The
Student Ministry of Woodland Park exists to lead
teenagers into a passionate relationship with
Jesus Christ and to equip them to make disciples.
The ministry strives to properly present the
teachings of Jesus Christ in a way that is meaningful
and relevant to students through approaches such
as teaching, music, small groups, service projects,
camps, mission trips, and various other events.
In today's culture, it is not an easy task to
rear godly teenagers. The Youth Ministry desires
to come alongside parents and assist them in
their God-given mandate of raising godly teens
who will impact the next generation for Christ.
Ways to get involved in the Youth Ministry include:
Bible
Fellowships
Each Sunday morning students in grades 7-12
meet in
Room 140 at 9:00 AM.
After a student-led time of praise, there is a teaching time with
Chris Gaither, our Associate Pastor of Student Ministry.
All students
are then dismissed to small groups where connecting
with each other is possible and application
from the teaching time is made by an adult
small group leader.
Student
SOD (School of Discipleship)
Each Sunday evening from September through May before the evening worship
service we hold courses in our School of Discipleship
(SOD) studies. These elective
courses are designed to equip students in their
walk with Christ. The courses vary from "guy
only", "girl only", and co-ed. Example studies
include "How To Study the Bible", "Our Identity
in Christ", and many more.
The Bridge
Every Wednesday night in
Room 140 we meet
for a more informal meeting time from 6:30
- 8:00 pm. The Praise Band leads a time of
praise and worship which is then followed by
a teaching time. The teaching is based on topics
relevant to teens and is examined in light
of God's Word, the Bible.
