Believers' Baptism

Believers' baptism, the baptism of those who have claimed the name of Christ, is the symbolic washing of water that was first used by the New Testament church as a rite of Christian initiation. The water used in baptism does not save the sinner, but instead is a reflection of the work the Holy Spirit has done in the heart of the believer.
